but in game mechanics, its just the same thing with another coat. i mean sure, completely different lore, new icons, and stuff. Truth be told, Dementation and Domination isnt so different after all. Dominate Lasombra: You posses your victim, so your body will be leaved behind. Dominate Ventrue: Can control your character, but also you give orders to victim. įor example Dominate, or Auspex, or Obfuscate have many options, that still can be used and it seems to me like "other clan" that will not have this discipline as the signature one, will be kind of weaker in it. I admit that in some its harder than the other. You can make new clan discipline that is allready used as signature for other clan feel more unique. Im not convinced to "broke the rule of unique signature discipline" is the only way. Would you forego it just because most of its disciplines were already taken by another? Or would you buckle up and accept it as is? I mean, let's assume you really want X clan in the game. I think I agree with those that say unique disciplines are probably going to be a flair for release but after that anything goes. I know they are trying to give each clan at least one unique discipline and one that may or may repeat but if they plan on adding the majority of clans (that people want) then it is bound to happen. Both Brujah and Toreador have Celerity already so it's not far-fetched to assume others will follow suit at some point. In BL2 the amount of "main" disciplines we get were reduced to 2 per clan, 3 if you count the Thin-Blood one.
Dominate - Tremere and Ventrue (Malks as well, if counting V5). Auspex - Malkavian, Toreador and Tremere In the old editions, all clans have three disciplines and in the Camarilla most of them overlap each other at least twice: Unless they decide to add more clans from other sects there just aren't enough unique disciplines to implement without some overlapping.
